＊The parking fee system at the Sutopia Center will change.

・From 1 October, parking at the Sutopia Centre will be free for up to two hours.
・When entering the car park, please take a parking ticket from the ticket machine.
・If you have been in the car park for more than two hours when you leave, please pay 200 yen and leave the car park.
・Note that the existing ‘next free ticket’, ‘multiple parking ticket’ called KAISU-KEN and ‘pre-paid card’ are no longer valid!

Ogaki City has prepared a "Living Guidebook for Foreign Residents" in Portuguese, Chinese, English, and "plain Japanese" for foreign residents, which contains useful information for daily life such as garbage disposal and child-rearing.

【23】Japanese Elementary Schools & Junior High Schools
(1)Children attend elementary school from the age of six for six years.　
Junior high school students go to junior high school for three years from the age of twelve.
?School starts in April.
●Orientation for new students ‘NYUGAKU SETSUMEI-KAI’
・Orientations are held at each school, in February, for children who are entering to elementary school or to junior high school in April.
・If you wish to enroll your children in Ogaki municipal elementary/ junior high school, consult with School Education Division, Ogaki City Board of Education.
●School costs
・Tuition at elementary and junior high schools is free, but school lunch fees must be paid monthly. In addition, there are costs of school uniforms, learning materials (e.g., calligraphy tools), and field trips.
●Studying Japanese
【Initial Japanese Guidance Class】
・This class is designed to teach Japanese language and school rules to elementary and junior high school students who have little or no understanding of Japanese.
【Japanese Class】
・Guidance for Japanese and general courses for elementary and Junior high students who completed the Initial Japanese guidance class.
【Inquiries】

●PTA
・A Parent-Teacher Association that supports school education by conducting traffic safety patrols, or other volunteer work related to school events.
・Any parent whose children go to elementary or junior high school can join the PTA.

＊スイトピアセンターの　駐車場（ちゅうしゃじょう）の　使（つか）い方（かた）が　変（か）わります。

・10月（がつ）1日（にち）から、スイトピアセンターの　駐車場（ちゅうしゃじょう）は、2時間（じかん）までなら、車（くるま）を　とめても、お金（かね）が　かかりません。
・駐車場（ちゅうしゃじょう）に　入（はい）るときに、機械（きかい）から　「駐車券（ちゅうしゃけん）」を　うけとって、車（くるま）を　とめます。
・帰（かえ）るときに　2時間（じかん）を　過（す）ぎていたら、出口（でぐち）の　機械（きかい）に、「駐車券（ちゅうしゃけん）」と、200円（えん）を　払（はら）って、帰（かえ）ってください。
・「次回無料券（じかいむりょうけん）」や「回数駐車券（かいすうちゅうしゃけん）」、「プリペイドカード」は、使（つか）えません。

【23】小学校(しょうがっこう)・中学校(ちゅうがっこう)
(1)小学校(しょうがっこう)には 6歳(さい)から 6年間(ねんかん) 行(い)きます。
中学校(ちゅうがっこう)には 12歳(さい)から 3年間(ねんかん) 行(い)きます。
(2)学校(がっこう)は 4月(がつ)から はじまります。
●学校(がっこう)へ かよう
・4月(がつ)から 小学校(しょうがっこう)1年生(ねんせい)と　中学校(ちゅうがっこう)１年生(ねんせい)に なる 子(こ)どもは、入学(にゅうがく)する学校(がっこう)で 2月(がつ)ごろに せつめいかいが あります。
・大垣市(おおがきし)の　小学校(しょうがっこう)と　中学校(ちゅうがっこう)へ　かよいたい　ときは　市(し)役所(やくしょ) 教育(きょういく)委員会(いいんかい)学校(がっこう)教育課(きょういくか)へ　相談(そうだん)します。
●お金(かね)
・授業(じゅぎょう)の　お金(かね)は　かかりません。１か月(げつ)ごとに給食(きゅうしょく)(昼(ひる)ごはん)など に お金(かね)が いります。そのほか、　制服(せいふく)や 習字(しゅうじ)の 道具(どうぐ)、社会(しゃかい)見学(けんがく)などに お金(かね)が いります。
●日本語(にほんご)の　勉強(べんきょう)
・初期(しょき)指導(しどう)教室(きょうしつ)・・・日本語(にほんご)が ほとんど わからない 小学生(しょうがくせい)・中学生(ちゅうがくせい)に　日本語(にほんご)と 学校(がっこう)の きまりを おしえます。
・日本語(にほんご)教室(きょうしつ)・・・・・初期(しょき)指導(しどう)教室(きょうしつ)が おわった 子(こ)ども、日本語(にほんご)が すこし わかる 子(こ)どもに 日本語(にほんご)と 勉強(べんきょう)を おしえます。
・くわしい ことは、子(こ)どもの 小学校(しょうがっこう)・中学校(ちゅうがっこう)、または 市(し)役所(やくしょ) 教育(きょういく)委員会(いいんかい)学校(がっこう)教育課(きょういくか)(0584‐47‐8034)に ききます。
●ＰＴＡ(ぴーてぃーえー)
・小学校(しょうがっこう)・中学校(ちゅうがっこう)に かよう 子(こ)どもの 親(おや)と、学校(がっこう)の 先生(せんせい)が いっしょに、 子(こ)どもの みまもりや、学校(がっこう)の そうじなどを します。
・小学校(しょうがっこう)・中学校(ちゅうがっこう)に かよう 子(こ)どもの 親(おや)で 、いっしょに かつどう したい 人(ひと)は ＰＴＡに はいれます。
