・Talk about the correct use and importance of seat belts and child restraint systems with your family, at school and at work.
・When riding in a car, make sure everyone in the front and back seats has their seat belt fastened.
・When riding on a bus, always fasten your seatbelt, no matter where you are seated.

Ogaki City has prepared a "Living Guidebook for Foreign Residents" in Portuguese, Chinese, English, and "plain Japanese" for foreign residents, which contains useful information for daily life such as garbage disposal and child-rearing.

【22】Child Care Service
(1)Applications for admission to nursery schools in April of the new school year will be announced in the publicity Ogaki around October of the previous year.
(2) Ogaki offers a range of services to meet a variety of childcare needs so you can choose the one that best suits your family's circumstances.
HOIKU-EN(Nursery School)
・Description： A HOIKUEN is a day care facility for children whose families are not able to take care of them for work or other reasons.
・Day care fees will be decided according to the family’s annual income of the previous year, and the age and the number of children
・Baby care, a short-time day care, care of handicapped children are available other than regular child care service.

YOCHI-EN(Kindergarten)
・Description： Educational facility for children 3 to 5 years old.
・School fees： Fees differ according to the age of children at municipal kindergartens.
As to the fees at private kindergartens, make an inquiry to the school.

YOHO-EN(Preschool)
NINTEI KODOMO-EN(Certified child care center)
・Description： It is a combined nursery and kindergarten.

＊10月（がつ）は「シートベルト・チャイルドシート着用（ちゃくよう）強調（きょうちょう）月間（げっかん）」です。

・家族（かぞく）・学校（がっこう）・職場（しょくば）などで、シートベルト・チャイルドシートの　正（ただ）しい　使（つか）い方（かた）や、大切（たいせつ）さについて、話（はな）しましょう。
・車（くるま）に　乗（の）るときは、前（まえ）の席（せき）の人（ひと）も、後（うし）ろの席（せき）の人（ひと）も、かならず　シートベルトを　しましょう。
・バスに　乗（の）るときも、どの席（せき）でも　かならず　シートベルトを　しましょう。

【22】子(こ)どもをあずける
(1)親(おや)が 仕事(しごと)を する あいだ、小(ちい)さな 子(こ)どもを　あずける ところが 「保育(ほいく)園(えん)」、小(ちい)さな 子(こ)どもに　勉強(べんきょう)を おしえる ところが 「幼稚園(ようちえん)」です。
(2)4月(がつ)から 保育(ほいく)園(えん)・幼稚園(ようちえん)に 子(こ)どもを あずける
ときは、前(まえ)の 年(とし)の 10月(がつ)ころに もうしこみます。
保育(ほいく)園(えん)
・親(おや)が 仕事(しごと)や 病気(びょうき)などで 小(ちい)さい 子(こ)どもを そだてる ことが できない ときに、子(こ)どもを あずける ところです。
・前(まえ)の 年(とし)の 親(おや)の 収入(しゅうにゅう)や 子(こ)どもの とし、かずなどに よって、かかる お金(かね)が きまります。
・赤(あか)ちゃんを あずかる ところや、すこしの 時間(じかん)だけ あずかる ところも あります。
幼稚園(ようちえん)
・3さい から 5さい までの 子(こ)どもに 勉強(べんきょう)を おしえる ところです。
・子(こ)どもの としに よって かかる お金(かね)が ちがいます。
幼(よう)保(ほ)園(えん)　認定(にんてい)こども園(えん)
・おなじ ところに 保育(ほいく)園(えん)と 幼稚園(ようちえん)が あります。
