■ Main activities are thinning and planting trees in the Wada Forest. Maintenance ・ of the "Wata-no-mori" forest (including walking paths, ancillary facilities, and maintenance equipment), which has been designated as Gifu Prefecture's No. 2 Satoyama Model Forest. Maintain Gifu brand Uruchi-rice and Glutinous rice production and biodiversity in the regenerated biotope terraced rice paddies (7 paddies) ・.
Or, organize and manage "Forest School" and "Nature School" for general public parents and children using the terraced rice fields. Maintaining ・ the Wata no Mori forest (including model forests) ・ and making shiitake mushrooms using thinned wood from conservation, making firewood, and preserving precious native trees and flowers and nurturing them.

■ Gifu Prefecture Environmental Conservation Model Forest No.2
In 2013, Satoyama Club Kani （ and Kani City ） jointly applied to be selected as Environmental Conservation Model Forest No.2 by the governor of Gifu Prefecture. The utilization plan was developed by experts, advisors, Kamo Agriculture and Forestry Office, Kani City, landowners of Gata Shared Forest, Satoyama Club Kani, and Gifu Forest Protection Team as players, and the facility was completed in 2014 by the Gifu Prefecture.

■ The goal of the Gata Forest
（ 1 ） Revival of the public benefit function of Satoyama.
・ Creation of bright forests by improving thickets and artificial forests, and conservation and improvement of ecosystems and forest environment
・ Utilization of the generated materials for conservation （ firewood ・ charcoal ）
・ food （ wild vegetables ・ mushrooms ・ Rice from terraced rice fields ）, fertilizer （ woodchips ・ humus ） etc. to be used by people to improve public utility functions.
（ 2 ） Improve our forest into a satoyama that many people visit.
・ To create a beautiful and rich satoyama by connecting with people through the forest for various purposes such as enjoying, playing, learning, health, environmental activities, self-realization, and tasting, and to preserve it for the future.
